After 31st January 2020 there will be a transition period until 31st December 2020, while the UK and EU negotiate additional arrangements.
The current rules on trade and business for the UK and EU will continue to apply during transition period.
If you move goods into or out of the EU, you must get an EORI number.
You should also decide how you want to make customs declarations and whether you need to get someone to deal with customs for you.
It could be freight forwarders, customs agents or fast parcel operators.
Freight forwarders, like ourselves, move goods around the world for importers. They also arrange clearing your goods through customs. They have the right software to communicate with HMRC\’s systems.
Customs agents and brokers make sure your goods clear through customs. You can hire a customs agent or broker to act as a direct or indirect representative.
Fast parcel operators transport documents, parcels and freight across the world in a specific time frame. They can deal with customs for you, as part of their delivery.
